Suspected Burglar Who Camped Near Target Home Arrested

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A man returned to his Ken Caryl Valley home on Saturday and surprised a burglar. The intruder was armed with a knife and fled the scene on Willowleaf Drive.

Deputies searched the area and asked residents to stay inside with locked doors, but could not locate the suspect.

On Sunday morning, residents reported a suspicious person who fit the suspect description.

Deputies arrested 36-year-old Steven Minchey, who is homeless and was camping nearby, on suspicion of first-degree burglary and felony menacing.
