'Brush Off' Event Cleans Up Capitol Hill Neighborhood
DENVER (CBS4)- People came together on Saturday to help cleanup Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood on Saturday morning.
Volunteers helped clean up trash from the streets and cover up graffiti for the 6th annual graffiti Brush Off event.
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock joined volunteers to help keep Denver beautiful.
"Thank you for helping us to be one of the clean cities of the nation and support our families," said Hancock.
The City of Denver spends about $1.4 million each year to remove graffiti. So far this year crews have cleaned more than 810,000 square feet of graffiti.
