Denver Weather History: Two Daily Extremes Set Just One Year Apart
DENVER (CBS4) - We know Colorado's weather can vary, sometimes from minute to minute!
On this date in Denver weather history we find two weather extremes set just one year apart.
In addition to the new low in 2004 it was also a very cool day with fog, showers and thunderstorms. The high on July 24 only reached 58°F which set a new minimum daytime high.
There are several other notable weather events on this date ranging from hailstorms to flash flooding and record streaks of heat.
On July 24, 1967, seven bridges were washed out along a normally dry creek bed west of Brighton near Highway 7. One car was washed into the creek when a bridge gave way.
