Neighbors Still Talking About Officer-Involved Fatal Shooting In Fort Collins
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - Two Fort Collins police officers remain on administrative leave after shooting a 22-year-old man to death.
Officers Tyler Patterson and Adam Brunjes say they opened fire after that man stabbed a woman and then came at them with the knife.
Neighbors are still talking about the deadly confrontation.
"Honestly … because this is like a really nice place … pay decent to live in some really nice apartments and security comes with that," a resident said. "So it's kind of nerve-racking that someone died right there, got shot."
The woman who was stabbed has life-threatening injuries.
The district attorney's office is investigating the officers' actions, and that could take a few weeks.
