Rescue Crews Search Lake Granby For Person Who Fell Into Water

GRANBY, Colo. (CBS4)- Rescue crews searched Lake Granby on Friday afternoon for a person who fell into the lake and appeared to be struggling.

Witnesses say one person fell into the water in the area of Harvey Island on the east side of the lake about 2:15 p.m. Friday.

Personnel from the Grand County Sheriff's Office, Grand County EMS and the U.S. Forest Service rushed to the scene.

People at the lake were trying to help the person get out of the water.

As of 5:15 p.m. crews have not found the person. They do not believe the person was wearing a personal flotation device.
