Tubing Is Once Again Allowed In Boulder County

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Tubing is once again allowed in Boulder County.

The sheriff's office on Friday lifted the ban on tubing in Boulder Creek, the St. Vrain River and the North and South Vrain creeks. The water is still running faster than normal but the flow on Boulder Creek has dropped below 700 cubic feet per second, the typical standard for implementing a tubing ban.

Authorities warn that the flows can still be dangerous, particularly after heavy rains.

The ban was implemented last week after a 42-year-old fisherman from Denver died in Boulder Creek.
