Kids Pedal To Support Bike MS

LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4)- Bike MS is coming up this weekend but on Tuesday, some of the younger set pedaled their way to support the good cause.

Dozens of children from the "Little People's Landing Learning Center" in Littleton and the other eight locations around the Denver metro area, rode laps to raise money for multiple sclerosis.

For each lap they completed, the money raised was donated to support research and treatment for MS.

Colorado and Wyoming are two state that have the highest rates of MS in the nation.

"The kids all bring their bikes and they ride at all of our schools, so eight of our schools are having their Bike-A-Thon today, and they ride laps until really they're just too tired to ride anymore and the parents can donate per lap or they can donate a flat fee and it all goes to MS," said Little People's Learning Center spokeswoman Janet Bass. "It's a fun day for everybody and it's for a good cause."

CBS4 is a proud sponsor of Bike MS on June 27 and 28.
