Teens From Newtown, Connecticut Coming To Colorado To Help Flood Victims
LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) - A group of 20 teenagers from Newtown, Connecticut have planned a trip to Colorado to help rebuild homes destroyed by flooding.
It's the third annual trip by Ben's Lighthouse. The nonprofit is named for a 6-year-old victim of the Sandy Hook massacre in 2012.
The trips are designed to empower Newtown's children and help them heal through volunteer work.
The teens will also meet with survivors of the Columbine High School massacre.
