Florida High School Teacher Arrested, Allegedly Sent Nude Photos To Colorado Teen

OVIEDO, Fla. (AP) — An Oviedo high school teacher has been arrested on federal charges of possession of child pornography after authorities say he exchanged nude photos with a teenage girl in Colorado.

Multiple news outlets 58-year-old Gregory Vaughn, a social studies teacher at Paul J. Hagerty High School, was arrested Friday after the teen's mother found sexually-explicit emails the pair had exchanged.

Vaughn told investigators he met the girl on social media and thought she was 17. The pair exchanged emails for several months.

Authorities say Vaughn sent the girl nude photos of himself along with money, books, candy and clothes in exchange for her photos.

A Seminole County Schools spokesman says Vaughn has been teaching at the school since August 2005, but will not be allowed back pending the investigation.
