Trailer Holding Lafayette Youth Football Gear Stolen

LAFAYETTE, Colo. (CBS4) - A youth football program could be out $150,000 after their equipment trailer was stolen in Boulder County.

The Lafayette Bobcats say they went to do their annual inventory only to find the trailer was gone from its storage yard.

The trailer contained all of the gear such as helmets, shoulder pads, pants, jerseys and other field equipment.

The league's president, D.J. Guildner, says he was devastated when he heard the news.

"I was sick to my stomach. It made me sick. It made me sad. It made me angry that someone would do something like this," Guildner said.

They suspect the trailer may have been stolen sometime last month. The league hopes the equipment will be found before the season starts in July.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
