Nuggets Work Out National Champion Justise Winslow
DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Nuggets worked out another top prospect on Wednesday -- Duke's Justise Winslow -- although the Nuggets might have to move up from their seventh pick if they really want the 19-year-old.
Winslow played power forward for the national champs, but at 6-foot-6 he will be a two or three guard in the NBA.
"I feel like I can do both. At times I feel like I can also be the primary ball handler. I just feel like that's something about my game -- the versatility that's going to help me a lot at the next level, being able to play both wing positions, handle the ball, that's something I need to do. Whether it's two or three, I feel like I can have an impact at the NBA level," Winslow said.
A lot of mock drafts have Winslow going fourth or fifth, but a few have him dropping to the Nuggets at seven. Winslow is very versatile on both offense and defense.
"You could say I am similar to James Harden attacking basket, you could say I'm similar to Kawhi Leonard defensively, the way I use my hands, or Wesley Matthews, or Jimmy Butler," Winslow said. "But there's no guy I try to model my game after. I just try to be myself."
On Monday the Nuggets took a look at Kentucky's Willie Cauley-Stein.
