Man Bites Police Officer Repsonding To Accident In LoDo

DENVER (CBS4) - A Denver police officer was bitten while responding to a call at 15th and Delgany streets in LoDo.

Raquel Lopez with Denver police told CBS4 the officer was completing an accident report when for some reason the situation with one of the parties involved escalated and a man bit the officer.

The man is in custody. His name hasn't been released.

The officer was bitten on the hand.

The officer was being checked out on scene by medics to see if he needs to be transported to a hospital for further evaluation.
