Storm That Spawned Tornado, Dumped Hail Near Holyoke 'A Doozy'
HOLYOKE, Colo. (CBS4) - A tornado briefly touched down Wednesday afternoon about 15 miles south of the town of Holyoke in northeastern Colorado.
The storm also brought golf ball sized hail. Ballyneal Golf Club General Manager Dave Hensley said "it was a whiteout."
"It stripped all the landscaping, ruined some tee times for sure," Hensley said. "One of the best ones we've seen for a while ... we just couldn't see anything because the hail was coming down so hard."
Hensley said the storm dumped hail for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. He called it "a doozy."
There were no reports of major damage or injuries.
