Funeral For Bicyclist Found Shot And Killed In Windsor

WINDSOR, Colo. (AP) — A northern Colorado town is saying goodbye to a beloved resident who was shot and killed while riding his bicycle.

John Jacoby's funeral will be held Friday afternoon in Windsor as police continue to search for his killer.

The body of the part-time parks worker and grocery store bagger was found Monday along a rural road. The 48-year-old was a big fan of high school sports and knew so many people in town that he was considered its unofficial mayor.

The FBI is helping police investigate but authorities haven't said much about what they've learned since Jacoby's body was found. At the outset, police said the shooting didn't appear to be related to an unsolved nearby highway shooting last month but said they would look into all possibilities.
