Seniors Prepare Care Packages For Colorado Troops Overseas

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4)- Seniors at Greenridge Place in Westminster prepared care packages for Colorado troops serving overseas on Tuesday.

The packages include snacks, hygiene products and laundry supplies.

Many of the seniors are also veterans and like saying "Thank you" to the troops.

"The special thing about this is that we have some veterans here who are residents and we have a staff person who is also a veteran and the military that these packages will go to is specifically people who are from Colorado who are stationed overseas," said Greenridge Place Executive Director Kathi Miller.

The seniors also make thank you notes and yellow ribbon key chains for those serving in Kuwait.
