Thief Steals Urn Containing Ashes Of The Victim's Mother

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Colorado Springs are searching for a man who stole much more than just a few credit cards from a car. The thief also stole an urn that contained the ashes of the victim's mother.

Credits cards and purchases can hopefully help track the suspect down. Police believe he broke into the victim's car outside the person's home.

The thief also stole wedding rings.

The urn is black enamel over brass with gold trim designs and fits in the palm of a person's hand.

The suspect is described as a white man about 5-foot-11 to 6 feet tall, 25 to 30 years old with short sandy brown hair and a thin build. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket with the hood up over his head, multi-color pajama-like pants and a dark backpack.

Police said the suspect used the victim's debit card at a nearby store. Anyone who has information about the suspect is asked to call the Colorado Springs police.
