'Film On The Rocks' Boasts Some Past Blockbusters & Popular Bands

MORRISON, Colo. (CBS4) - The first movie in the 2015 season of Film on the Rocks will be "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1," according to the schedule released on Thursday.

Film on the Rocks is so popular that it's entering its 16th season at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Tickets went on sale on Thursday at www.denverfilm.org.

Prior to the movies the audience is entertained with live music and comedy.

The following is the schedule for 2015:

May 23: THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 1 with Strawberry Runners + Plume Varia
June 2: SUPER TROOPERS with Strange Americans + Bonnie and the Beard
June 9: THE SHINING with Munly & The Lupercalians + Stella Luce
June 15: THE PRINCESS BRIDE with Jux County + Clouds & Mountains
June 23: JURASSIC PARK with School of Rock Denver
July 31: PRETTY WOMAN with SHEL + Moses
Aug 26: THE BREAKFAST CLUB with Jen Korte & The Loss with The Dirty Femmes: A celebration of the Violent Femmes
Aug 31: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY with Kaleo + Bluebook
Sept 2: END OF SEASON SPECTACULAR to be announced at a later date
