Westbound US 6 To Close At Garrison Street For Bridge Demolition

DENVER (CBS4) - Westbound US 6 will close Tuesday night as Colorado Department of Transportation crews work on replacing the Garrison Street bridge.

According to CDOT, the westbound lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday to "demolish the structurally obsolete bridge."

The eastbound lanes will remain open.

The detour begins at Wadsworth Boulevard, then goes south to Alameda Avenue, then west to Kipling Street.

The westbound exit onto Garrison Street will remain open, but traffic will be routed north to Colfax Avenue.
