Boobies Rock! Founder Now In Trouble For Scam Involving Donated Mattresses

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Two people accused of theft of more than $1 million in a charity fraud case involving the sale of donated mattresses have been charged.

According to 17th Judicial District Attorney Dave Young, Genevieve Cruz, 57, and Adam Shryock, 35, allegedly "obtained Serta mattresses returned under Serta's warranty program under false pretenses, claiming that they were being donated to the Ecumenical Refugee and Immigration Services Inc. in Denver and distributed to refugees."

Cruz was the donation coordinator for the charity.

The charges allege the pair would sell the mattresses for profit from storage units in Adams County.
