3 Killed In Head-On Crash In Larimer County

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Colorado State Patrol has identified the victims in fatal head-on crash in Larimer County that claimed three lives Tuesday night.

According to the State Patrol, a moving truck traveling east on Larimer County Road 74E collided head-on with a Ford Ranger pickup truck.

Two occupants of the pickup died at the scene along with one of the occupants of the moving truck. Two other occupants of the moving truck were taken to the hospital -- one by ground and one by air.

The victim who died in the moving truck has been identified as Daniel Buschkoetter, 25, from Wheat Ridge. The driver, Gary Winn, 51, of Denver suffered serious injuries. The other passenger, Steven Thompson, 28, also suffered serious injuries.

The two victims in the pickup who died have been identified as Andrew Czaplewski, 64, and his son, Eric Czaplewski, 37, of Livermore.

Deputies believe speed was a factor in the crash. Alcohol, drugs and weather were ruled out as factors.

No names have been released.
