Bruce Jenner Collectables Are Hot At The Collectors Supershow

NORTHGLENN, Colo. (CBS4) - From Barbie to Cabbage Patch, superheroes to sports toys, the Collectors Supershow had it all.

This year marked a quarter of a century in action, and this year memorabilia from a celebrity Olympian was in demand.

"Any decade theres toys here from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s," said organizers Dana Cain.

Cain has been behind the show since the very first one in 1990.

"I think it's a way to sort of bring back your childhood," she said.

Today it's grown to hundreds of venders and thousands of rare collectibles.

"No matter what you're looking for it's probably going to be here," Cain said.

This year one past Olympian's memorabilia is pulling in higher dollars than ever before.

"Almost everything Bruce Jenner related has had a huge spike, in not only value, but also demand," said Scott Edwards.

Edwards says Bruce Jenner collectables from his post Olympic days have doubled, and in some cases, tripled in value.

"It actually sells for a higher price than it did," Edwards said.

Collectors say that's normal when a celebrity makes news or a movie remake is made and the values will usually level out.

"Nostalgia is a really, really powerful emotion," Cain said.

But collectors say the sentimental value will remain priceless.

"Sometimes people buy back their old toys, but other times people buy the toys that their parents would never get for them and they always wanted," Cain said.

The Collectors Supershow ended on Sunday.
