Coroner IDs Found Body As Mother Of AFA Cadet Who Died Mysteriously

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - The body of the mother of an Air Force Academy cadet who died under mysterious circumstances has been found.

A body was found in a ravine on Saturday while crews searched for of Ksenia Quiros, 44. The coroner on Monday said the body is positively that of Ksenia Quiros.

The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is still investigating the death of 21-year-old Cadet 1st Class Alexandre Quiros. He was found injured in a dorm room on campus and later died on April 2. The cause of his death hasn't been made public but it's not a criminal investigation.

Ksenia Quiros' husband told KKTV, the CBS station in Colorado Springs, his wife went missing Wednesday morning. Her family's truck, a 1998 red Dodge Ram, was found at an open space on the southwest side of town.

"The manner and cause of death are still unknown at this time," police said in a statement.

According to her family, Ksenia Quiros worked for the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
