Getting Power From The Sun For One School In Littleton
LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4)- A school in Littleton is getting alternative power thanks to new solar panels.
Macintosh Academy flipped the switch on its new solar panels Thursday morning to become the first Littleton school to obtain most of its energy from solar power.
School officials said the initiative was completely student driven because the project was funded by a grant from State Farm Insurance which sixth graders wrote themselves.
