Robber Told Victim Of Intent, Showed Handgun

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder are searching for a man who informed a woman he was going to rob her before committing the crime.

The female victim was inside her parked vehicle in the 2900 block of E. College Avenue on April 8 when the suspect approached her and told her he intended to rob her.

The victim told police he displayed a handgun and then sped away, possibly in a silver sedan, when the victim's friend arrived.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, with an athletic build. He had dark hair worn in a pony tail with a thick, dark-colored beard.

The suspect was wearing a painter's cap with a small bill, a black or navy-colored jacket and blue jeans. He was wearing eyeglasses.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Heather Frey at 303-441-3369. Tips can also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at www.crimeshurt.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
