Woman Who Had Baby Cut From Her Belly Thanks Community For Their Support

LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) - The woman brutally attacked in Longmont is thanking people for their well-wishes and support.

Michelle Wilkins had her unborn baby cut out of her when she answered an online ad for baby clothing in Longmont.

More than $113,000 has been raised on a GoFundMe page set up for Wilkins. On that page Wilkins sent out an update on Wednesday.

"Without your prayers and well wishes lifting me up, I don't know where I'd be," she said. "Words can't express my thanks though I will still try."

The crime took place in Longmont on March 18 at the home of Dynel Lane. Lane, 34, faces attempted murder and assault charges for allegedly stabbing and injuring Wilkins and cutting the baby from her womb and stealing it.
