Serial Church Burglary Suspect In Court, Police Search For 2nd Suspect

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- The man accused of targeting more than a dozen churches in Englewood over the past 10 months appeared in court on Thursday.

Jordan Peterson Karr, 25, was arrested on Easter Sunday after police chased him for a while in the 3800 block of South Lincoln Street. He's believed to have broken into more than 19 churches and caused thousands of dollars in damage.

Charges have been filed against Karr, a total of 47 counts including burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary, criminal mischief, theft and possession of burglary tools.

Police in Englewood are looking for a second suspect after Karr reportedly admitted to officers that he's responsible for some of the burglaries.

Police have not released the second suspect's name or description.

Police have credited the community with helping them track down Karr. They say several people responded to their crime alert, identifying the man in the pictures they released.
