Cam is now the proud pop to a wooly bunch and it's possible one of the male lambs will become a future Cam.

CSU released a video on its Facebook page showing the newborns with Cam. As of 2 p.m. on Thursday the video has been viewed nearly 112,000 times.

With the help of faculty members from the Department of Animal Sciences, Cam was bred with two ewes from Durango, which were raised by a current CSU graduate student, according to CSU spokesperson Jennifer Dimas.

"One ewe produced triplets and the other had twins. The five lambs include two males and three females," Dimas said.

Cam and his new family live on a private farm "where animal science faculty provides daily oversight."

"Ram Handlers" will be taking weekly shifts to care for Cam, the ewes and the lambs.

"All of which provide invaluable hands-on experience for students."
