Wildfire Danger High For 3rd Straight Day In Colorado

DENVER (AP) — The wildfire danger is high for the third straight day in much of eastern Colorado on Wednesday because of strong winds and low humidity.

The area under a red flag warning Wednesday includes Teller County, where a grass fire grew to about 100 acres Tuesday afternoon and forced the evacuation of about a dozen homes.

Gusty winds are also causing blowing dust in the San Luis Valley. The state health department says the problem will probably be the worst in the northern part of the valley between Alamosa and Saguache, where soils are drier.
