Winter Driving Conditions Investigated In Deadly I-70 & Pecos Crash
DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver investigated whether winter driving conditions played a role in a deadly crash at Interstate 70 and Pecos early Friday morning.
Police rushed to the single-vehicle crash about midnight where the driver was ejected from the Jeep. The male driver died at the scene.
There were no other occupants in the Jeep.
The area surrounding the crash was closed for about three hours for accident investigation and cleanup.
Officers investigate whether winter driving conditions played a role in the crash. It started snowing in the area Thursday evening and snow continued overnight.
A portion of I-70 was closed at Morrison Road on Thursday night because of multiple vehicle crashes blamed on snowy and icy driving conditions.
