Former U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley Joins Denver Law Firm
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Former U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley has left Iowa to join a law firm in Denver.
Leventhal & Puga announced Thursday that Braley has moved to Colorado to work for the firm. Braley, who served four terms as a Democrat in Congress, lost a bid for Senate to Republican Joni Ernst in November.
Prior to his time in office, Braley practiced law for 23 years in Iowa. According to a news release, Braley's admission to the Colorado Bar is pending.
The announcement comes weeks after Braley's lake house in Brooklyn, Iowa, went on the market. He lived permanently about 60 miles north of Waterloo.
Braley says he's looking forward to "helping people seek justice when they have been harmed."
Levanthal & Puga plan to soon open an office in Iowa.
