Broncos Release Schedule Of Key Offseason Team Activities

ENGELWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - The Denver Broncos on Tuesday released key dates of offseason football activities, which start with the club's offseason workout program on April 13.

Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas said he won't be taking part in the offseason activities until he can work out a long-term deal with the Broncos. It's not clear if any other players plan to not participate in voluntary workouts and mini camp.

Below are the key dates released by the Denver Broncos:

April 13-16 - Offseason Workout Program (Phase 1)
April 20-23 - Offseason Workout Program (Phase 1)
April 28-30 - Voluntary Veteran Mini Camp

April 30-May 2 - NFL Draft

May 4-7 - Offseason Workout Program (Phase 2)
May 8-10 - Rookie Mini Camp
May 11-14 - Offseason Workout Program (Phase 2)
May 18-21 - Offseason Workout Program (Phase 2)
May 26 - Offseason Workout Program (Phase 2)
May 27-29 - Organized Team Activities (Phase 3)
June 1-2 - Organized Team Activities (Phase 3)
June 3 - Offseason Workout Program (Phase 2)
June 4 - Organized Team Activities (Phase 3)
June 9-11 - Mandatory Veteran Mini Camp
June 15-18 - Organized Team Activities (Phase 3)

Additional Information About The Offseason Activities

Offseason Workout Program (Phase 1):
First two weeks of offseason program; physical activities limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation; only strength and conditioning coaches are permitted on the field; no helmets.

Voluntary Veteran Mini Camp:
Week 3 of offseason program; three days of practices (two of the three days can have two-a-day practices); no live contact or pads; helmets permitted.

Offseason Workout Program (Phase 2):
Weeks 4-6 of offseason program; all coaches allowed on the field; individual player instruction and drills allowed (no offense vs. defense); no live contact; no helmets.

Rookie Mini Camp:
Part of club's rookie football development program; open to all players with no NFL pension credits; all coaches permitted on the field; no live contact; offense vs. defense allowed; helmets permitted.

Organized Team Activities (Phase 3):
Weeks 7-8 & Week 10 of offseason program; 10 total days allowed; all coaches permitted on the field; no live contact; offense vs. defense allowed; helmets permitted.

Mandatory Veteran Mini Camp:
Week 9 of offseason program; three days of practices (two of the three days can have two-a-day practices); no live contact or pads; helmets permitted.
