Woman Who Shot Teen Girl In Lowry Neighborhood Sentenced
DENVER (CBS4) - A 34-year-old woman who shot a 14-year-old girl in the Lowry neighborhood was sentenced on Monday.
Police say Cherry Robertson shot the girl after an altercation between the victim and Robertson's daughter. The victim, Niela Coleman, was hit in the shoulder but fully recovered.
Robertson pleaded guilty to three counts, including assault and menacing for the incident that took place on Aug. 2, 2014. She was sentenced to a three-year deferred judgment sentence, including an additional 60 days in jail, two years of probation, and 75 hours of community service work.
