Sun's Glare Causes Serious Car Accident In Aurora

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Aurora police are investigating a serious car accident that occurred at the intersection of South Peoria Street and East Arkansas Avenue Friday morning.

An adult female driver ran through the intersection after missing a stop sign on East Arkansas Avenue. She could not see it because of the sun in her eyes, and struck a car traveling on South Peoria Avenue.

The woman that was hit has serious, life-threatening injuries. The driver who ran the intersection and her passenger were not injured.

Peoria was reopened around 10:40 a.m.
