DENVER (CBS4)- The victim in Tuesday night's shooting where another woman was injured was pursuing a rap music career.

Rachel Aboytes, 21, died from multiple gunshot wounds. According to her Facebook page she was known as "Baby Smiley" an aspiring rap artist from Longmont.

"It was really close. It was literally in front of my house," said witness Fred Johnson. "I looked out and I saw people shooting but I didn't see the suspect."

A small memorial is growing near where she was shot as the search for her killer continues.

Police aren't sure who killed Aboytes or why. They don't have a suspect description.

A friend of the family told CBS4 the two women were walking home from a bar when the shooting happened.
