Driver Hospitalized After Crashing Into Credit Union In North Denver
DENVER (CBS4) - A driver has been hospitalized after crashing an SUV into a building in North Denver Wednesday morning.
According to a spokesperson with the Denver Fire Department, the driver crashed into the Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union located near 39th Avenue and Fox Street sometime before 11 a.m.
The driver may have suffered from some sort of medical condition and suddenly accelerated while driving down the street.
About one-third of the SUV entered the building. Nobody inside the building was injured.
"We have no structural damage to the inside if the building, none of the structural supports are damaged. We had a little bit of an electrical concern because the electrical was compromised," said Denver Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Taylor.
The name of the driver and extent of injuries hasn't been released.
