Rams, Buffs Both Showcase Their Talent For NFL Scouts

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - NFL scouts got a chance to take a look at players from both the University of Colorado and Colorado State on Wednesday as both schools held their Pro Day to showcase their best players.

CSU's Pro Day was held without quarterback Garrett Grayson, who is still recovering from a hamstring injury and will work out later this month.

Still, all 32 NFL teams sent scouts to see the seven Ram seniors, especially lineman Ty Sambrailo, who also worked out at the NFL combine.

Like Grayson, Sambrailo is projected as anywhere from an early to mid-round pick.

"It's an interesting process. You train for something other than football, which is kind of funky because you don't really do that at any other time of your career," Sambrailo said. "There will be critics; everybody's got an opinion … I'm confident in the way I play and I'm confident in the what I do, and I'm not really worried about what other people think."

CU held their annual Pro Day with a couple of players from CSU-Pueblo's national championship team in attendance as well.

The Buffs didn't have any players invited to the NFL combine in Indianapolis, so it was their big day to try and impress the pro scouts.

"I hope that I showed that I can run and jump and I have strength and I can play with anybody in the NFL," CU cornerback Greg Henderson said.

"We have huge respect for the fact that we got invited up here, but we wanted some CSU-Pueblo guys to shine today, and I think we did that," CSU-Pueblo lineman Josh Bredl said.
