Cold Spell Costing Bonfils Blood Center Critical Donations

DENVER (CBS4) - Bonfils Blood Center is warning the blood supply is critically-low because of the long stretch of cold and snowy weather.

Bonfils had to delay or cancel 14 blood drives last week alone, which cost the organization approximately 300 donations.

The blood center is specifically calling on people with O negative blood to donate because it is the only blood type that can be given to any patient.

Also support Bonfils Blood Center by buying tickets to the Give LIVE concert at the end of the month. Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness is headlining the concert, and Bear Hands is also playing.

The Give LIVE concert is Friday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre.
