Inmate Who Died In Jefferson County Jail Complained Of Feeling Ill

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - An investigation has been launched into the death of an inmate at the Jefferson County Detention Facility.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said a woman died in her cell Monday night. She reportedly complained of not feeling well and was scheduled to be seen during normal medical rounds that evening.

The name of the 38-year-old woman has not been released.

The woman was only in the jail one day and was booked on minor charges including theft and false reporting.
