Prosecutors: Colorado Teen Killed Girlfriend In Utah, Dumped Body In 2012
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah prosecutors say police followed a trail of blood to a teenage girl's body in a river after she was beaten to death by her 14-year-old boyfriend in 2012.
The Colorado teenager appeared in a Salt Lake City courtroom Monday as prosecutors began presenting evidence against him.
Prosecutors say they plan to call 18 witnesses during a seven-day hearing for a judge to decide whether he should stand trial for murder.
Search warrants state victim Anne Kasprzak told people she was pregnant and wrote in a journal that her boyfriend didn't seem to want the baby; though her stepfather testified Monday she wasn't pregnant.
