Another Man Convicted Of Murder In Brutal Denver Cold Case

DENVER (CBS4) - A jury has convicted a man of killing two people during a home invasion in 1994.

Samuel Sims, 43, has been found guilty of murder, attempted murder and rape. He will be sentenced sometime next week.

Prosecutors say Sims and two others broke into a home in Denver and stabbed three people. Two of the victims, Jacqueline Gallegos and Nelson Swiggett, died. The lone survivor told police that several intruders had come into his home at about 3 a.m. demanding money and drugs, and then attacked them.
