First Early Bird Drawing Coming Up In Denver Dream House Raffle
DENVER (CBS4) - The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver will be picking the first winners in their Denver Dream Home Raffle on March 4. It will be the first of two early bird drawings before the grand prize drawing on May 8.
The grand prize is a $2.5 million Denver dream house, but prizes for the early bird drawings are equally luxurious.
"A great reason to buy your tickets early is it increases your chances of winning a great prize. We have early bird drawings where you have the opportunity to win cash, cars and fancy trips," said Erin Porteous, Chief Development Officer for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.
On March 4th, the prizes include a BMW 302i, an Audi A4, a Mini Cooper or $30,000 cash. The deadline to buy tickets for that early bird drawing is February 20th. Your odds of winning are much better than then the lottery.
"The odds of winning a prize are 1-in-50. So even if you don't win the grand prize, we're drawing early bird prizes. For the first early bird, the second early bird, and then the day of the grand prize, we'll award over 1,000 prizes," Porteous told CBS4.
The second early bird drawing is April 1st. The prizes for that drawing include a 5-day trip to Paris, or a 5-day trip to Barbados. The deadline to buy tickets for that drawing is March 20th.
You can get a ticket for $150, and there are discounts for buying multiple tickets. There are also benefits for referring your friends to the raffle.
"We've also got incentives for you to get out there and tell your friends and family. We've got a 'Refer-a-Friend' drawing. We'll draw that on the grand prize date, so we encourage you to buy ticket and those that are in your network as well," Porteous explained.
The prizes for the refer-a-friend drawing include a 2015 Fiat 500 or $15,000 cash.

The grand prize drawing is May 8th. The grand prize drawing includes the $2.5 million Dream House in Denver's Observatory Park Neighborhood. The deadline for buying tickets for that drawing is April 24th.
