The Year Was 1995, The Place Was Joplin, MO

DENVER (CBS4) - Karen Leigh got her first reporting job in the little town of Joplin, Missouri, at KODE-TV. The year was 1995, and the possibilities were endless. She went on to work as an anchor in her hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas, as a field reporter in Nashville, Tennessee, and again as an anchor in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Karen joined CBS4 KCNC-TV in 2008 as our evening and late night news anchor, and ended up feeling at home in Colorado. "My life has been so enriched by the people here. I have found great friends and co-workers, a loving husband and extended family, and have been blessed with my daughter, Elle, who graces my life every second," Karen says. "My life is full."

She naturally became a Broncos fan after growing up alongside her father who was a high school football coach, and also loves golfing. As for her dream job: "I'm doing it!"
