Another Record High As Denver Hits 70 Degrees Four Times In Two Weeks
DENVER (CBS4) - Can you believe that the high in Denver has reached 70°F four times over the past two weeks?
Denver International Airport hit 74°F at 1:37 p.m. on Saturday which broke the previous record high of 71°F set in 1987.
That's just a few degrees shy of the all time February record high of 77°F set on Feb. 4, 1890 and Feb. 28, 2006.
The low of 41°F on Feb. 7 was the warmest since 1926.
Denver also set a new record on Friday, Feb. 6 when the temperature hit 70°, breaking the record of 67° from 1944.
It's the second streak of unusually warm weather in two weeks to hit the Mile High City.
The high on Jan. 26 was 71°F and the second warmest January reading on record occurred the 27th when it was 75°F.
