Sex Assault Involving High School Students Began On Backyard Trampoline

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - The search continues for a sixth teenager accused in a sexual assault involving high school students at home in Englewood.

Police say a group attacked a high school girl during a party. Five of the suspects are already in custody. Some of them attend Englewood High School and the district sent out a letter to families to inform them what happened and to let them know counselors are available if students need support.

Over the weekend Tom Wullstein saw something in his neighbor's backyard he described as a bit unusual.

"I've never seen that many people congregate back there like that," Wullstein said. "There were 12 boys and one girl back there and I thought that was a little strange."

It became significantly traumatic for a young teenage girl. Police say the teen was sexually assaulted by six people at the party that included drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.

Court documents say that while drunk the girl consented to sex on a trampoline with one of the teens, but three others joined in despite her pleas to stop. The arrest affidavit goes on to say two teens assaulted the girl again in a tent where she continued pleading for them to stop.

The documents say the assault didn't stop until the mother of one of the suspects called him back into the house. That suspect has been identified as Daylon Benjamin Hill, 19, who was arrested along with four other teens who are juveniles.

"He's a really chill dude. I never would think he would do something like this," Hill's friend Andrew Wood said.

The other suspects are 15 and 16 years old. Police are still searching for another teen suspect who also attends an Englewood school.

"That kid used to be my best friend, so it's kind of hard to deal with it knowing that I used to be friends with someone who could do something like that," a classmate said.

Hill is being held at the Arapahoe County Jail on a $50,000 bond. The four other teens are at a youth detention facility. Police expect the arrest of the sixth suspect to happen soon.
