March 2003 Snowstorm

Evergreen was hit with 72 inches of snow in over St. Patrick's Day in 2003. Despite that huge amount, that's not the largest snowfall in the state's history. In 1921, Silver Lake saw 76 inches. And that was all in 24 hours! During the same 2003 storm, Denver received nearly 32 inches of snow. That's the second most in the city's recorded history. According to NOAA, we received 46 inches from the same system in a five day period in 1913. Now, who's happy we didn't have to bust out the shovels and snowblowers for that amount of powder?!
