Suspect Killed After Reported Home Invasion Attempt In Pueblo
PUEBLO, Colo. (AP/CBS4) - Authorities say one person is dead after an attempted home invasion in Pueblo.
Witnesses reported seeing two men on Sunday morning kicking in a door of a home. They said one of the men was armed.
Police were called and saw two men jump into a vehicle and try to flee. The suspects got into an accident with another vehicle and fled on foot. Authorities say one man was arrested and another was shot and killed in a gunfight with police.
"One suspect was immediately apprehended and another ran east through the fields. Officers caught up with the suspect minutes later where an exchange of gunfire between officers and the male," police said in a statement.
The names of the suspects haven't been released.
