DENVER (CBS4) - This spring you can spruce up the yard with low costing trees through the Denver Digs Trees program, but you have to apply this winter.

The fee is $35 in most neighborhoods and only $10 in some lower income neighborhoods. Free trees are avaiable as well for those struggling financially and volunteers are needed to plant for others.

For more information go to theparkpeople.org. The deadline for applying is Feb. 15.
