Gas War! Drivers In Fort Collins Don't Mind The Long Wait
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - Drivers in Fort Collins are actually enjoying a war.
Two gas stations at the corner of East Mulberry Street and Riverside Avenue are battling it out for the lowest prices. On Tuesday one station was selling gas for $1.53 a gallon, and the other one was at $1.51.
Drivers don't mind the long wait to save the cash.
"I think I've been here 15, 20 minutes; so waiting to get to fill it up. But yeah, it's a good deal," a driver said.
"We came all the way from Wyoming to get this cheap gas, and good gas. Because we're at $1.73 in Wyoming, so $1.55 is good for me," another driver said.
Gas prices have fallen for more than 100 straight days. Only one state has an average price above $3 a gallon -- Hawaii.
