Half-Dozen Children Now Homeless Due To House Fire In Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – Seven people, including six children, are out of their home after an early morning fire in Colorado Springs.

The fire started just after 1:30 a.m. Monday at the home in the 2200 block of North Circle Drive. Investigators say it started in the basement of the house.

Firefighters quickly contained the flames.

The family and their dog all got out safely.

The Pikes Peak Red Cross is helping the family with a place to stay while the damage is assessed.
