The discovery was made sometime after 7 a.m. at a house located at 21 Cragmore Street, just southeast of Federal Heights and north of the intersection of Highway 36 and Interstate 25.

Officials with the Adams County Sheriff's Department said they were searching for a person of interest, but they aren't calling that person a suspect. He was described as being a Hispanic man with sleeve tattoos on both arms. He was seen driving a black Jeep Wrangler with a hard top.

Late Wednesday afternoon a police chase ended with a crash in Jefferson County. A black Jeep could be seen from Copter4 driving the wrong way along Rooney Road in Golden. Sources told CBS4 the driver also tried to hit a deputy. One person was taken into custody and second person was transported to a hospital.

Police said the chase is possibly connected to the three murders in Adams County.

A neighbor described the commotion, which she said sounded like an argument between a man and a woman, as loud enough to wake her up out of bed and told CBS4 the incident was unusual for the area.

The following is a dispatch conversation taken from broadcastify.com:

Dispatch: I'm getting an unknown medical …. DOA 21 Cragmore ... female very hysterical … saying someone took her money then stating three people DOA on scene.

Responder: Okay, 21 Cragmore ... no history ... go back further.

Dispatch: Need you to go to Cragmore ... party hysterical ... keeps hanging up.

Dispatch: Possible homicide suspect ... reference shooting this morning at 21 Cragmore ... suspect in black Jeep – two-door, hard top, Hispanic male wearing white shirt, black sweatpants.

One investigator told CBS4's Lauren DiSpirito the investigation is "very complex." The search for evidence included using metal detectors in neighbors' yards.
